Nicki Minaj Dropped From Harassment Suit Filed By Woman Who Accused Her Husband Of Sexual Assault

American talented rapper and singer, Nicki Minaj has been dropped from the harassment lawsuit filed by her husband, Kenneth Petty’s alleged rape victim, Jennifer Hough.

Courts documents obtained reveal that the rapper’s harassment lawsuit was voluntarily dismissed.

Hough’s lawyer speaking on the dismissal, said while “The case against Nicki was voluntarily dismissed. The case against Kenneth Petty is still ongoing. Stay tuned!”

The Starships rapper has revealed that she plans to fight for money lost in legal fees.

In an email obtained by People, Minaj’s lawyer, Judd Bernstein, wrote that he was pleased that Hough and Blackburn “came to their senses.”

“Your conduct in pursuing this case against Nicki represents the worst of our legal system: bottom-feeding lawyers who pursue frivolous actions against a celebrity assuming that they will be paid off if they throw up enough dirt,” he wrote.

Bernstein continued, “It is just the beginning of Nicki’s and my efforts to make you pay for your disgraceful conduct with both money and, if the Court recommends it, disciplinary sanctions.”

Hough had filed a lawsuit in August 2021, claiming that Minaj and Petty had threatened her into recanting her accusation of rape — which Hough said occurred in 1994 when she was 16 years old.

In 1995, Petty was convicted for first-degree attempted rape and sentenced to 18 to 54 months but spent four years in prison.

In her lawsuit, Hough also accused the couple of intentionally inflicting emotional distress and alleged sexual assault and battery, referring to the 1994 incident.

“As a direct result of the actions of Defendant Minaj and Defendant Petty, Plaintiff has been traumatized her entire life,” the lawsuit read. “Plaintiff has never felt safe since being raped by Defendant.”

The lawsuit also alleges that Hough was offered $20,000 to sign a prepared statement recanting her rape accusation. It also alleged that Minaj spoken to her about recanting her story and that she had been harassed multiple times over the phone and received visits from people associated with the couple.

A month after she filed the suit, Jennifer Hough appeared on The Real and recounted the rape incident, noting that she has experienced since he married the “Super Bass” rapper.

Petty is a level two registered offender in New York. In March 2020, he was arrested after being indicted for failing to register as a sex offender in California.

Earlier, Petty had pleaded not guilty and posted $100,000 bail, but he pleaded guilty at a virtual hearing back in September. He now faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release.
